Molid is a short and idyllic zone, 600m long. The river mostly has slow-flowing currents that run above a relatively deep gulley, with a beautiful steep drop-off to cast at. Towards the end of the zone, the current picks up and provides amazing fishing accompanied by one of the Beiar-river’s most gorgeous views!
The zone is normally viewed as a lure or worm-zone, but proficient fly fishermen never struggle to catch the huge salmon that stop in the gulley. Just about half of the zone has deep, slow moving water, and can very easily be fished even if the water level is high. Molid has been known for its great salmon fishing for ages (Leiråhøla, Molidbakkan and Ellinhøla). Around autumn-time there is great seatrout fishing aswell. The upper border is at Leiråga, and the lower border is Merkåga.
There is ample space to pitch a tent, or park a caravan or motorhome. We will only sell 4 season licenses, so first come, first served!
